Worker’s Compensation

Worker’s Compensation, a program required by statute, provides payment of medical expenses and compensation to an employee who is injured in a work-related accident or incurs an occupational disease.
Coverage
The determination as to whether medical expenses and compensation are payable and the amount and duration of such payments is prescribed by state and other statutes and not by University policy.
Persons covered under this program include:
- Full and part-time employees.
- Students while in an employment status.
- Recognized volunteers (as defined by Missouri Worker’s Compensation law).
