ID Cards

University of Missouri-Columbia faculty, staff and student identification (ID) cards are the property of the University of Missouri. IDs must be shown or surrendered to a University official upon request. Employees must return their card to their division/department head on their last day of employment.

An ID card may be required for admission to facilities or for participation in various University programs and services as determined by the University. An immediate family member (spouse or child) may use an employee’s ID; however, such use is subject to conditions as may be established by the particular facility or service.

Employees must keep their IDs secure and must not loan or otherwise share the use of their ID, apart from the previously referenced exception. Unauthorized use of an ID card is a serious offense, which could lead to disciplinary action up to and including termination. Lost or stolen cards must be reported immediately.
