Policy Statement

Coverage under the medical professional liability plan is afforded to University employees and recognized volunteers as well as enrolled students pursuing courses of instruction at or under the direction or auspices of participating medical facility.

The plan provides protection against claims resulting from injury to a patient arising out of the operation of a participating medical facility or because of injury arising out of the rendering of or failure to render professional services by a covered person performed in the practice of the covered person’s profession.
