Preference for U.S. Products

The University of Missouri will give preference to the purchase of products manufactured, assembled or produced in the United States when they can be secured without additional cost over foreign products and when the quality is suitable for the purpose intended. [See also: 3:013 Preference for Missouri Products and Firms, and 3:012 Participation by Minority Owned Business and Enterprises.]

Tie Bids

In case of a tie bid between a Minority Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) vendor and a non-MBE vendor, where both are Missouri firms, the award should go to the MBE vendor; however, if one vendor is a Missouri firm and the other is not, the award should go to the Missouri firm.
